AIRLINE AND TOURIST DESTINATION

United Airlines / TED
Launched the new brand carrier “Ted” for United Airlines in the Washington, D.C., Orlando, Tampa Bay
and Ft. Lauderdale Florida markets in 2004 and 2005. Program of work included a six week street-team
marketing initiative throughout the cities with grand opening event with press, staging, lighting, police
escort to event for VIP United dignitaries. For six weeks a fleet of four limousines were “wrapped” in the
Ted logo and traveled to events, parades and locations throughout Washington, DC promoting the launch
of Ted and distribution of premiums and take-ones. In the Florida market, ice cream trucks attended all
major events and targeted locations handing out branded popsicles, premiums and take-ones. Handled
press, street team staff, executed grand opening events.

Chevy Chase Pavilion
Working through the New York offices of tourism for the countries of Japan and The Netherlands (KLM),
organized tourism and airline promotions for two consecutive years over the Cherry Blossom festival period
in Washington, D.C. at this location. Each country transformed the atrium of the shopping center
into a mini cultural version of their country. Banners promoting the airline and tourism promotions hung
from the top of the atrium. Each event ended with a gala event coordinated with the office of the Embassy
in Washington.

Beverly Hills Salutes Finland
Working directly with the Consulate General of Finland and Finnair, developed a promotion for Finland
and the airline “Santa Comes from Finland”. Santa arrived on a sleigh driven by reindeer down Rodeo
Drive ending at the entrance to the Regent Beverly Wilshire and our first annual Beverly Hills Lighting
Ceremony, a grand-scale holiday celebration with a chorus of over 1,000 and celebrity guests the day after
Thanksgiving. The following day we escorted 25 children from Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times
(cancer patients) to Finland to the North Pole to see Santa sponsored by Finnair. Promotion included special
events in Beverly Hills, banners, advertising, celebrity appearances, visit of cultural dancers and artists
from Finland over a one-month period.

Beverly Hills Diamond Jubilee Celebration
An 18-month program celebrating the 75th anniversary of the city. Special Events included Rodeo Drive
Block Party, two national television specials, Subaru bicycle sporting event around the Golden Triangle,
live production open for casting to citizens of the city for a staged musical production of the history and
founding of Beverly Hills, Taste of Beverly Hills, a world-class open air Fashion Show with elevated runway
covering the four block area of Rodeo Drive from Little Santa Monica to Wilshire. Fashion designers
from all over the world were invited two years out to participate. The entire four block area was a “ticket
only” entrance and grand stand seating was arranged. Fashions and wares of designers were displayed
and sold in all of the stores on Rodeo Drive, Wilshire Boulevard and surrounding streets.

Beverly Hills Salutes the World
An 18-month program celebrating the 75th anniversary of the city, 9 countries. Met personally with each
Consul General in Los Angeles to invite to participate in the cities celebration by taking a two-month
sponsorship highlighting their countries airline, tourism, products from their country. Promotions were
two-month period with a banner created for each country interspersed with a Beverly Hills celebrates 75th
anniversary banner. Airlines flew in indigenous dance groups, stores featured lines of products from the
country, 3 special events were held for each country and their ambassadors. Garnered local, national, international
media.

 

RETAIL, SHOPPING CENTER, ART MUSEUM AND HOTEL PROMOTIONS

Tiffany & Co.
More than 15 years with Tiffany & Co. handling new store openings (3), special events including jewelry
launches, visits from designers including Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso, John F. Kennedy Library sponsorship,
fashion shows, in-store and out-of-store charity promotions, traveling trunk shows. Organize
and handle events for their high-end customers “Tiffany Register”. Handle all press placement, crisis
media, corporate guidelines re press.

Chanel
Hired by Chanel corporate in New York and interviewed with corporate executives from France prior to
being chosen to launch the Fine Jewelry Line for the company in Washington, D.C. at the French Ambassadors
Residence. The President and CEO of Chanel and his team attended this spectacular event which
featured a Michelin chef and many special presentations, fashion elements and press coverage. Press conference
held at the Embassy prior to the event.

Neiman Marcus
Coordinate special events for dignitaries and high-end customers known as In-Circle customers for this
internationally renowned retailer. Most recent event to celebrate the grand reopening of the store after a
multi-million dollar renovation. The occasion was marked with special guests, community leaders, media
representatives and In Circle customers.

Swissotel Washington The Watergate
Selected by corporate executives from Switzerland to launch the new flagship and complete renovation of
this Washington, D.C. landmark hotel. Created and executed three consecutive days of grand opening
celebrations, activities, press conference, gala event for over 1,000 people, private dinner with corporate
executives and Washington dignitaries for 100 people. Obtained permits from District of Columbia to
have planes in holding pattern for Reagan National Airport and police stop of traffic on motor parkways
on each side of the Potomac River, the Key Bridge, the 14th Street bridge and river traffic for a 15-minute
fireworks display to highlight our grand opening. Performance at Gala Event by National Symphony
Orchestra coordinated music with fireworks. More than 50 tuxedoed models traveled throughout the city
with white gloves carrying Swiss Chocolates on silver trays. These “ambassadors” visited every office of
key clients, travel agencies, the steps of Capitol Hill, every key individual in town that was influential
and an important prospective customer to the new hotel flag.

Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel
Grand re-opening of the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel following its renovation and purchase by Regent
International Hotels. Red carpets and trumpeters heralded the re-opening of the grand dame of Beverly
Hills. This historic hotel, following renovation and a new international flag, was heralded widely in press
internationally. A week of events were coordinated and executed under the review of Robert Burns and
Michael Matthews of Regent International in Hong Kong.

McCaffery Interests, Inc.
Exclusive agency to nationally awarded Chicago, IL real estate development firm, McCaffery Interests,
Inc. Projects include Mazza Gallerie, Washington, D.C.; Market Common, Clarendon, Arlington, VA;
Block E, Minneapolis, MN; Market Common Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Manage all
events including Groundbreaking Ceremonies, VIP Investor Dinners, Grand Openings, and on going
community events.

National Museum of Women in the Arts
Executed press conference and VIP luncheon featuring First Lady Hillary Clinton at the opening of a
show featuring works of art by women across the world. Highlight on acknowledging and putting forward
women artists both from regions of the world where women’s art is not easily promoted. This
event included a focus on pottery and works of art by American Native Indian women.

Colonial Parking
For 50 years, Colonial Parking has been one of the top parking companies and real estate owners in the
Washington, DC area. Selected to produce the 50th Anniversary Celebration to honor the companies
founders and more than 800 employees. Held at the premier Ronald Reagan Building, the event featured
a one-hour hollywood styled Oscar’s Awards Show to honor the accomplishment of the company and
employees with special guests from local television and municipalities. A seated dinner was served complete
with live music and dancing. Special attention was paid to the menu and music selection to accommodate
a very culturally diverse population of employees.

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City
Third largest mall in the Washington, DC market with more than 14 million visitors a year and featuring
high-end retailers such as Macy’s, Nordstorm, Apple, Sony, and a Four Season Hotel. Work with management
team on local, national and international media relations and sponsorship opportunities.

Fair Oaks Shopping Center
Second largest mall in the Washington, DC market celebrated its 25th Anniversary by hosting a 12-month
series of large-scale community events each focusing on a specific retail category. Events included
Broadway performance by “Dora the Explorer”, musical performance by nationally-known jazz performer
Steve Oliver, personal appearance by Genevieve Gorder from TLC’s hit TV show Trading Spaces,
Rock the Runway Fashion Show with SEVENTEEN Magazine and the national launch of the Disney
movie The Chronicles of NARNIA: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
